Diablo IV : Vessel Of Hatred launched a new feature called Mercenaries: faithful companions who help watch your 6-6-6 in battle. Our brief was to invite lapsed solo players back to the game they know and love to try Diablo with Mercenaries. Returning to a game that’s been around since the 90’s can feel nostalgic, like seeing an old friend. We targeted these older millennials and created a nostalgic parody (even in 4:3) of all your favorite childhood friends: toys.
